Our Team

Chris Templin

Manager

Managing partner Chris Templin has had experience managing a variety of restaurants in the peninsula for over 30 years. Chris’ passion lies in wine, as he both managed and ran the wine programs at restaurants such as Alexander’s Steakhouse, 231 Ellsworth, Viognier, Bella Vista, Osteria Coppa. He has devoted much of his time to training staff and management alike on the fine craft of wine, but is also devoted to broadening his own knowledge to serve guests their perfect glass.

Vural

Chef

For many years, Chef Vural studied the art of cooking and graduated culinary school in 2002, when he realized food was his ultimate passion. In 2004, Vural made the now life-changing decision to continue pursuing his culinary career, and relocated to the United States, where he worked as a Sous-Chef de Patie for one of America’s largest commercial cruise lines, Royal Caribbean. Vural boasts an impressive portfolio, having gone on to work amongst fine dining Michelin star chefs at Gotham Steakhouse, Tudor House Restaurant, Estitario Milos, and as the head chef of Zuma, a contemporary Japanese restaurant. He worked as an executive chef at the reputable Nusr-et Steakhouse Miami, famously known for its gourmet steak but even more so for its viral founder, Nusret, a.k.a. “Salt Bae”. With more than 20 years of fine dining experience under his belt, Chef Vural is truly a master of his craft, and he’s joining the Taurus Steakhouse family, where he plans on preparing his signature wood-grilled steaks served with seafood with a twist.

Lucca and Giorgio

Proprietors

Proprietors Lucca and Giorgio are known for their numerous restaurants around the South Bay. The duo began their journey in the restaurant industry with the opening of Central Park Bistro in San Mateo, a restaurant dedicated to serving gourmet American food since 2007. Lucca then founded West Park Bistro in 2014, and Mediterranean Kitchen in 2019. Giorgio founded Park & Howard Bistro in 2017. Lucca and Giorgio are excited to utilize their expertise to bring guests the perfect dining experience at Taurus Steakhouse.

Dear Taurus Community:

We are happy to announce that beginning on Friday, May 15th we will begin taking take-out orders for curb-side pickup. In addition to our regular take-out menu, we are offering complete dinner packages, with an option to grill your own steak, or make a selection from our butcher shop!

Our extensive wine selection is also now available to-go, with many specially priced bottles to choose from.

We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our customers and staff members during service. All employees will be wearing mask and gloves, and we kindly ask our customers to use a face covering when picking up orders.
